The uncertainty of a worldwide lockdown to prevent the coronavirus infection has brought loneliness during coronavirus and affected the mental health of a large number of people. The coronavirus has affected the world in more ways than just one. Apart from physical health, it has started to havoc our mental health as well. It has also brought with it a mental health epidemic.

Although post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is often associated with war, it can also happen to people who have experienced traumatic experiences such as an accident or an epidemic. Experts are predicting signs of PTSD in many people coming out of lockdown.

Loneliness During Coronavirus

Even if they are not clinically diagnosed, those people may suffer from the intense emotional stress that may persist long after the epidemic is over.

The biggest victims of such mental health problems are health workers and people working in other essential services, who are directly affected by this epidemic. This may also be a higher risk for people who are already suffering from illness or depression like mental health.

The (COVID-19) epidemic is leading to the adverse effects on the mental health of the people present across the world. A new survey has reported that the death toll from the Coronavirus in Canada has so far crossed the three thousand mark. And the worst part is that these deaths are happening only because of the effects of coronavirus

The survey was conducted by ARI to find out how the Canadians’ are keeping up with their emotional health after having lost their respective jobs. An atmosphere of uncertainty and anxiety over being isolated has gripped people.

What are the possible symptoms

Symptoms can appear in many different forms. These include nightmares, disturbing memories or flashbacks, being stressed and irritated, and having trouble sleeping. You can also be hyper-vigilant and have trouble concentrating. These symptoms, if persistent, can be diagnosed as PTSD. However, if you experience this symptom in isolation, then you do not need to diagnose it.

Patients should focus on their thoughts, feelings, and behavior. They should focus on what they are telling themselves and how they are feeling and what they do. If your thoughts are black and white or frightening, then you should be cautious.

Generally, people recover naturally after some time. They usually heal within days or few weeks or months of showing symptoms. However, this also sometimes happens when patients do not improve over time. This is when they get a break from seeking help from their family, friends or a doctor

Relax Yourself 

Many people keep themselves relaxed, even when they are feeling depressed. It may seem difficult right now, but there are many ways by which you can keep yourself relaxed. Include such things in your routine that can keep yourself away from mental stress. However, if you feel that a professional medium is required for these things, then do not ignore it and do it.
